If you are looking to get a job in the car rental industry then there may be some things that yu need to check before applying. There are a huge number of different rental dealerships from main dealers who sell and repair cars offering rental to their customers to businesses that only rent cars such as Enterprise or Avis.
Car rental jobs usually involve quite a bit of administration work as you will be responsible for filling in the correct paperwork, taking payment and checking licenses etc. for the rental agreement.
You can expect to earn on average 14,000 to 25,000 per annum on a full time basis.
You may be required to travel to deliver or collect cars and this often means you need to have a clean license or one with only a minor speeding find on it.
Some employers will also require you to have at least one year of driving experience before applying. You may be asked to participate in a drivers course if they fell you need a little bit more experience.
Foreign language skills may be helpful for working at airports, ports and tourist destinations. This may give you an advantage when applying for car rental jobs in certain locations. You should also have great communication skills, customer service skills and possibly sales skills.
