Servicing is something that many of us would like to be able to do exactly when it is due, but simply do not always have the funds so it is pushed to the back. Having your care regularly serviced can be beneficial in a number of ways, it can help with fuel consumption, keep the engine running as it should and be an opportunity for faults that are developing to be picked up before they become too serious.
Car servicing can vary in price depending on the make and model of the car, the service that is required and the garage you chose to take it to. Main dealerships will usually charge quite a bit more than independent garages to carry out a service but if the car is new, you may wish to pay the extra. Cars that are sold with full manufacturer’s service history can retain their value but often the extra money you have paid out over the years to use a main dealer will not ultimately be reflected in the price you achieve for the car when you come to sell it. If you are struggling to afford a full service then just getting a mini one which changes the oil and filters will be better than nothing.
